Other Notable Submissions 2024

We are grateful to the many organizations that made the effort to respond to the IPC’s Transparency Challenge. Although not all projects and initiatives submitted could be featured as exhibitors in the Transparency Showcase, notable mentions go to the following:

CITY OF KINGSTON

Tell Me More Podcast

The City of Kingston’s Tell Me More podcast involves discussions on key municipal issues, initiatives, and decisions. Using an interview format, the podcast offers insights from city leadership and addresses questions submitted by the public. Community members are also encouraged to contribute ideas for episode topics relevant to their interests.

Ministry of Energy and Electrification

Interactive Electricity Generation Map

The Ministry of Energy’s dynamic, interactive web map provides a high-level illustration of electricity generation in Ontario. Currently in beta format, it shows 71 generating stations and 214 dams owned by Ontario Power Generation, with more to be added over time. Users can explore details such as generating capacity, electricity output, in-service dates, and whether a dam is generating or non-generating. Published on Ontario’s Geo Hub in 2023 and managed by the Ministry, the tool is regularly updated, offering insights into Ontario’s energy infrastructure.
