A bright miami-esque painting of a modern architecture home with a pool. The colours are bright, sun-bathed. The house is shades of pink, the water in the pool a clear green, and the sky a vibrant blue. It is a summer day that one wishes one could just dive into.

Lightly inspired by David Hockney’s vibrant paintings of residences and the craving for summer in the midst of winter, this illustration brims with joy and exuberance. Miami-esque in palette, the artwork leads viewers wanting to dive right into the pool of this home.

AboutMyPropertyTM  shows people how their properties are assessed and taxes are impacted

MPAC’s AboutMyPropertyTM  gives Ontarians access to data about their property assessments so that they can better understand them, ask questions and even challenge how they impact their property taxes.

Ontarians care about their property assessments because they are the basis for property tax bills, which for many are a significant expense. With AboutMyPropertyTM, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) makes it easier for Ontarians to access important data on how their property is assessed and to more easily submit and track requests for reconsideration if they have a concern about their assessment.

MPAC conducts impartial property assessments in Ontario that accurately reflect the market. The AboutMyPropertyTM online platform covers the entire province – that’s 5.5 million properties valued over 3 trillion dollars! It includes useful information on how property assessments work and market reports. It also features an interactive component which allows property owners to compare their property to others. In addition, MPAC gives owners secure online access to information it has on file about individual properties, as well as any related notices.

Redesigned and launched in 2020, AboutMyPropertyTM is free and available 24/7/365. It was designed with usability, accessibility, and security in mind and with a desire to make the request for reconsideration process faster and more streamlined for people. Recognizing Ontarians’ deep interest in their property assessments and property taxes, MPAC promotes AboutMyPropertyTM through various channels, includes tools and resource to help people use it, and offers support to anyone who wants additional help.
